King of Hell. Text drawn randomly from various poems by Charles Olson. Composition: 1976.

Thousandyear Eve. Dedicated to Roger Zelazny, this text/sound work is a character-study of Wakim from Creatures of Light and Darkness. Composition: 1978-84.

London Trilogy. Dedicated to P.C. Fencott. Readings of soliloquies from Shakespeare's Othello, as well as structural chant using various characters' names in string formation (iagothellophelia...) build a mini-opera in multiple perspective. Composition: 1978.

GITR. Dedicated to David Cronenberg. Decomposes the phrase "growling in the roofbeams" from Hugo Ball's Flight Out of Time. Composition: 1984.

Ai. An adaptation of Vocalism Ai by Japanese composer Toru Takemitsu. Composition: 1980.

Accident in America. Abstract text-sound structure based on real-life events experienced on the roads of Alberta. Composition: 1982.

Raskolnikov. Variations on the name of Dostoevsky's famous character in Crime and Punishment. Composition: 1976.

Asthma. Composed with 30 seconds of material taken from an half-hour improvisation performed by Denise Bertrand in an abandoned chemical tank. Composition: 1983.

Variations on a Word from James Joyce's "Ulysses". Text-sound work investigating the decomposition of language into music. Composition: 1977.
